Endodontics or Root Canal Therapy

Root canal therapy is necessary when the pulp becomes infected due to a deep cavity or a fracture that allows bacteria to seep into the pulp chamber.  The patient will experience an increase in pain as the cellular activity increases within the pulp.

Root canal therapy includes cleaning the infected pulp chamber of all diseased pulp and reshaping the chamber and canals.  The canals are filled with a rubberlike gutta percha to seal the root canal from recontamination.  Now that the pulp is free of any infected tissue and is sealed from any reoccurring bacteria the tooth is pain free.

Key Benefits

  • Prevents to loss of teeth
  • Stops the pain from an abscessed tooth
  • Very high success rate of procedure
